Meet at Newbury, the Wharf long term car park, fee payable. A circular walk along the Kennet and Avon Canal with its colourful buildings and swing bridge. We pass Lady Well, cross the river Lambourne and have a picnic stop in the ruins of Donnington Castle. Returning to the start via Shaw House and gardens, a fine example of Elizabethan architecture with free admission. We will cross major roads. Bring refreshments and a picnic. Assistance dogs only.
