Meet at Cookham, the car park off the B4447 at Cookham. Leaving Cookham past Stanley Spencer’s house to Cookham Dean where Kenneth Grahame lived when he wrote ‘Wind in the Willows’ and on to Quarry Wood to Winter Hill with a panoramic view of the river Thames. Then walking alongside the river back to Cookham. Time to visit the Stanley Spencer Gallery at end of the walk. Bring refreshment for en-route break and picnic. Some walking on minor roads.
