Meet Rissington Road car park, Bourton-on-the-Water, near Birdland – buy ticket by machine near toilets. Please car share if possible. A figure of eight walk taken from Nick Moon’s book ‘The Oxfordshire Way’. From Bourton we follow the Oxfordshire Way to Wyck Rissington, and down to Gawcombe, then head north to Icomb. Return over Icomb Hill to Wyck Rissington and Bourton. Attractive Cotswold villages and undulating countryside, some hills with fine views. Shorter walk from Wyck Rissington Chirch approximately starting 11.15 – please leader know if you and ring for details. A joint walk with the Ramblers. Please bring refreshment for en-route break and a picnic. Teashops in Bourton-on-the-Water afterwards. Crosses the busy A424 twice, some stretches on minor roads, and streets in Bourton village.
