Similar to National Trails, Regional Routes are formed by joining together other highways. They are developed and maintained by local highway authorities (such as Oxfordshire County Council), sometimes in conjunction with voluntary groups.
The d'Arcy Dalton Way was created in 1986 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the OFS. Further information is available here.
The Oxfordshire Way is a lowland path from Bournton-on-the-Water in the north west of the county to Henley in the south east. It links the Cotswolds with the Thames, passing through the Chilterns.
The Oxford Green Belt Way is a fifty mile walk created by CPRE Oxfordshire to mark the 75th anniversary of the Green Belt. The Oxford Green Belt Way joins up rights of way around Oxford, and is aimed at helping people to access and enjoy the beauty tranquility and diversity of Oxfordshire's countryside.
