Meet at Nuneham Courtney, by the first bus stop in village. This is the third section of the Oxford Green Belt Way; we walk from the village through the Nuneham Park and across fields to Abingdon. A circular Ridgeway walk to explore the ancient White Horse and Uffington Castle hillfort with fine views, descending to the valley floor through Woolstone and Compton Beauchamp, returning to the Downs to visit Wayland’s Smithy barrow and back along the Ridgeway to carpark. Following the canal back to Kidlington and crossing through the village back to the church. Allow time for a stop at the tea rooms tea/cake/sandwiches available for purchase.
