Annual outing, to Newbury. Starting from Newbury Wharf. Meet near the mini-roundabout between the car parks on Wharf Road on the south side of Wharf Road Bridge.
The walk takes us along the Kennet and Avon Canal with its characterful buildings and swing bridge. We pass the Lady Well, cross the River Lambourne and picnic in the ruins of Donnington Castle. We return to our starting point after a visit to the magnificent Shaw House, a fine example of Elizabethan architecture. Free admission. There will be time to visit the West Berkshire museum and enjoy looking around the town.

Meet at Swinford Bridge, Farmoor. This is the seventh section of the Oxford Green Belt Way. We follow the river Thames to Wolvercote. Bus E1 from Osney Mead, please check timetables as times may change. Bring refreshments for en route break. Assistance dogs only. Some road walking from the Trout to Wolvercote Green. Meet at Souldern Village Hall, on the right on road leading into Souldern from the B4100. From the village hall walking to Souldern Mill and up Miller’s Lane with views of Aynho grounds and deer park. Crossing the Croughton Road again to take a covered lane to Souldern church with views again of Aynho park. Bring refreshments for en route break. Meet at Iffley Lock, possible parking in Iffley village. A circular walk along lanes and footpaths skirting Kenninton and Radley and crossing the OPT's Memorial Field. On to Sandford Lock and back along the Thames Path to Iffley Lock. Bring a picnic for a break at Sandford Lock. We cross two roads. Bus no 3 from Oxford and the X40 from Reading stop at Iffley Turn, a short walk to the lock. Judith 841716

Meet at Kidlington, the car park behind St Marys Church. An all-day walk, from the church towards Bletchingdon, to Kirtlington. Walking past the quarry and returning via the Oxford Canal.
