Sunday 1st 10am SP412159 6.75 miles Meet at Combe village green. Please park alongside the stone wall. A pleasant circular walk taking in the Roman villa, Stonesfield and part of Blenheim Park. A flat, shorter walk from Noke to Oddington, skirting Otmoor, and crossing the young River Ray. Pubs in Islip after the walk. Janice Ure 01865 371985 Saturday 7th 10.30am SU498971 8 miles Meet at the market place in central Abingdon. This is a joint linear walk with OFS and the Ramblers. It starts in Abingdon and follows the Thames Path past Radley, Sandford and Iffley, then back to the city centre. Pub lunch at Sandford en route or bring a picnic. Sorry no dogs. # Fast express bus to return to Abingdon. Sue Crisp 01865 553800 Tuesday 10th 10am SP562158 5 miles This is a "use it or loose it walk" due to the proposed rail crossing footpath closures by Chiltern Railways on the Oxford, Islip and Bicester line. Please support this walk. Meet at Charlton on Otmoor High Street, adjacent to the church. Please park carefully nearby. The walk goes towards Weston-on-the-Green, but turns near the M40/A34 off to Wendlebury Meads and Mansmoor Closes, also called Woodmeadow Nature Reserve, a SSI, then returns to Charlton via Mansmoor Lane Bridleway. Paths are rough and there are some stiles, one difficult, but this may be the last chance to see this corner of Otmoor. Pub available at the end of the walk. A scenic easy going walk between Cornwell and Churchill, across an open valley, using fields paths and quiet roads. Only one stile. Lovely Cotswold views. Sorry no dogs. Pubs in nearby villages at the end of the walk. Liz Green and Mary Goodrum 01295 810771 Wednesday 18th 10am SP502044 5 miles Meet at Hinksey Heights golf club, off the Southern Bypass, Oxford. Parking is signposted for walkers on the right hand side of the drive going up to the club house. A circular walk via the Chiswell valley, Chiswell Farm and Youlbury Wood. Food available afterwards at the Caddy Shack. Pre-order before the walk. Mavis 01865 361543 Saturday 21st 9.40am SP357194 9 miles Meet at the Bell Hotel, in Charlbury. This is intended as a bus walk but if coming by car please get to the Spendlove car park by 9.30am and walk down hill to the starting point. The walk is circular and goes through Wychwood Forest and will commemorate the 21st anniversary of the Confirmation of Creation Order 21/11/1988. Pub lunch en route. # Buses from Witney and Chipping Norton arrive at 9.25am and a bus from Oxford arrives at 9.30am. Please check times. Trains also stop at Charlbury.
