Saturday 5th 10am SP640170 6.7 miles Meet at Piddington church. Please find a suitable parking space in the village. Walking south from the village to part of Bernwood Forest and Boarstall, past Boarstall Wood towards Brill and returning via Muswell Hill. Please bring refreshments for an en route break. Sorry no dogs. # Frequent no 6 service to Wolvercote from the city centre. Pubs available afterwards. A circular walk to Bablock Hythe, Lower Whitley Farm, Filchampstead and Cumnor. If the Thames is in flood an alternative walk will be taken. Pub at the end of the walk. Sorry no dogs. A delightful walk from Wantage towards the Ridgeway via the Letcombes and back to the town. It goes via Childrey, Challow and the disused (but under renovation) Wilts and Berks Canal. Several stiles. Pub lunch stop in Childrey and alternative arrangements for those with picnics. A gentle walk via the Ridgeway to Bledlow, onto Henton for a pub lunch and back to Chinnor. Some stiles. A level walk through Bernwood Forest Nature Reserve, Shabbington Wood and across Waterperry Common. Returning via the Oxfordshire Way, around Waterperry Wood, Drunkards Corner, Polecat End and avoiding Hell’s Coppice. May be muddy and with 4 stiles. A flat walk in the beautiful area of the Upper Thames, visiting Buscot Weir amd Kelmscott village, summer home of William Morris, the designer.
