A lovely Cotswold walk along the Leach River valley to Akeman Street, returning via Eastleach Turville for a pub or picnic lunch en route. A hilly walk on the Ridgeway and along Aston Upthorpe Downs to Chalk Hill Bottom. Please bring some refreshment for an en route break and food available at the Bell pub afterwards. A circular walk from the historical village via Swyncombe, possibly seeing snowdrops around St. Botolph’s church, then along the Ridgeway and coming back via Ewelme Park. Please bring a picnic. Please use buses only and make this a car free walk from Burford to Minster Lovell. The trail goes along the Windrush valley passing wildlife sites. Please keep dogs on short leads at all times. Lunch stop at the finish at the White Hart and possible coffee stop at Swinbrook. Catch the 9.00am Swinbrook company bus no 853 from St. Giles in Oxford to reach Burford at 9.45am. Hourly buses return to Oxford from Minster Lovell. A varied walk on the North Wessex Downs taking in the villages of Chaddleworth, Peasemore and Leckhamstead. Pub lunch en route. An easy going walk through gently rolling countryside passing the North Leigh Roman Villa. Pub at the end of the walk. This is a linear walk from Long Hanborough through Pinsley Wood, to Church Hanborough and Eynsham, then along the Thames Path and the Oxford Green Belt Way ending at Lower Wolvercote. Pubs available in the village after the walk. # Stagecoach bus route no 11 from Oxford to Long Hanborough and Oxford Bus Company no 6 from Wolvercote to city centre.
