Wednesday 16th — Saturday 19th Residential visit to the HF House in Abingworth, near Arundel on the South Downs in West Sussex
A booking has been made for up to 24 places for OFS members at Abingworth Hall from Wednesday 16th May to Saturday 19th May on a guided walking holiday, where their leaders plan the walking itinerary of three graded walks a day (easier, medium and harder). On travelling days OFS leaders will offer their planned walks en route to/from West Sussex so making 4 days of good walking and 3 nights full board accommodation - bed, breakfast, 3 course evening meal and generous packed lunch. Walks will range from easy/level 5 milers to challenging/hilly 12 milers. Walking itineraries will make full use of the lovely undulating South Downs Way (Devil's Dyke, Ditchling Beacon, Cissbury Rings) as well as walking through gentler Wealden countryside to include parkland estates (Petworth, Parham House, Arundel Castle). Evening activities are optional but are good fun. There is a heated outdoor swimming available in May and eight acres of garden to relax in and enjoy. The cost is approximately £237 but supplements may apply to single rooms and premium rooms. Contact Sue Crisp to reserve a place.
