A walk of considerable variety with spectacular views passing the River Thame mills at Waterstock and Cuddesdon and visiting the villages of Waterperry and Great Milton, crossing the A418 and some unclassified roads. Meet at Chipping Norton Museum, this is the first section of the Glyme Valley Way, walking to Kiddington via Lidstone, Church Enstone, Cleveley, and Radford. The walk follows the river Glyme and is described as easy with few stiles and can be muddy and slippery after rain. The whole walk is accessible by public transport Stagecoach bus S3 from Oxford. On leaving Woodcote the walk is through beech woods to the Thames to see the watermill at Mapledurham, returning via the woods behind Hardwick House, the inspiration for Toad Hall in Wind in the Willows. Crossing Whitchurch Hill to return to Woodcote. Bring refreshments and a picnic lunch. Assistance dogs only. Liz

Meet at Chadlington Church parking considerately nearby. Both walks will leave the church together to visit the newly installed gates paid for by the OFS, to install the plaques. The short walk circles round the south of Chadlington returning to the church while the longer walk goes along the Wychwood Way/Oxfordshire Way westwards along the Evenlode Valley as far as Pudlicote House before returning to Chadlington via Greenend and then doing a circuit around the north end of Chadlington.
