Saturday 10th Annual Outing to Tewkesbury
This year we will walk from Tewkesbury past the battle grounds of the Battle of Tewkesbury 1471 through gentle countryside to Deerhurst, where there is a Saxon chapel and minster church of St. Mary. Lunch will be at a pub in Apperley. The return journey will be along the Severn Way back to Tewkesbury. There will be enough time for a wander around this largely medieval town and to visit the abbey. Total distance is about 6.5 miles. Full details and to reserve a place contact Liz Adams
Monday 12th to Friday 16th Residential Walking Visit to Cardigan Bay
This second trip will be led by Alison Broadbridge and Tilley Smith, after the successful Hope Cove venture in October 2010. It is based at the Llety Teifi Guest House and the adjoining Highbury Guest House, Pendre, Cardigan, where bed and breakfast is provided. Evening meals will be taken in local restaurants. Picnic lunches can be purchased in local shops. A variety of walks on beautiful coastal and estuary paths will be led by Tilley. Approximate cost will be £320 based on two people sharing a room (B&B and an evening meal) There is a limited number of single rooms which carry a supplement.
